Our daughter was purchasing a court-order sale property on the Sunshine Coast. In order to complete the purchase she needed to have ALL cash. She had about 20% cash. Richard secured the other 80% needed by having a private lender secure a second mortgage on our home as security for the short term. Once our daughter was in the house and made some improvements, the credit union gave her a really good first mortgage for the amount needed to pay off the private mortgage secured on our house. It was a perfect arrangement. We all were happy.
